A Stitch In TIme Calendar

Happy Saturday to all of you.
Here is a schedule of events taking place in the next couple of months.

The sign up sheets are on the web site for The Winter Village by Kelly Clark.
The series begins December 1st. You can see all of the pieces and find the authorization form by clicking on this link.  There will be a second grouping of buildings next year to round out the village. That set will include a church, a toy shop and the gate keeper's cottage so far.

TRASH to TREASURE
October 19 from 12 - 4
Trash to Treasure is happening again this year. We normally do it every other year but we have had too many donations to hold it that long.
For those of you who don't know what I am writing about, Trash to Treasure is a fund raiser we do for Young & Healthy in Pasadena. You donate your unwanted needlepoint canvases and books and Knitting yarn and books. We price them at bargain basement prices and ALL of the money goes to charity. It's a win win. You get rid of things you aren't going to use, and Young & Healthy helps children in the San Gabriel Valley.

Weaving Workshop
  Only 3 spots left!
With Deborah Jarchow
Monday, October 20
10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
$100 includes lunch
Maximum class size: 10 participants
A creative way to use up leftover balls of yarn or a new yarn you can’t wait to work with, this
method of weaving is easy and fun! Learn ways to combine colors, textures, and fibers as you
make a unique and beautiful scarf. Learn to weave while creating something lovely to wear or give
as a gift. During class, we will discuss what yarns will work well together and which ones might
not be the best choices, so bring what you have and let’s talk! Tabletop looms will be provided.
You’ll have a completed scarf at the end of the workshop!
After many years of teaching knitting and crochet, Deborah discovered that weaving encompasses
her love of fiber, texture, and color. Since 1996, she has worked as a full-time weaver. She has
won numerous awards and written for national publications. She is a talented teacher and a
popular Stitches instructor.
Please call or stop by the shop to reserve your space, select your materials, and pay course fee.
So that we can make arrangements for lunch, please note any dietary restrictions.
